PLEASE NOTE: Our kitchen has re-opened (since 16th April) and food is once again being served. However, this time it is even better as each day, Monday to Friday, between 5pm and 8.30pm, your dinner will be FREE. More details at ALL EAT FREE.

The Underground lies in the heart of Chengdu's bar and club district of Jiu Yan Qiao.  We serve a wide selection of world beers, long drinks, wines and cocktails. 

Our food is all freshly-prepared, home-made fayre. Our highly-trained chefs serve each day from 5pm to 9.30pm a range of 'Western' dishes including high-quality Beef Burgers on a Ciabatta Bun, British-style Fish and Chips, Beef and Red Wine Casserole, Chilli-con-Carne and Sheppherds Pie.

Despite serving food for little more than one year, the Underground has already received so many accolades for the “best burger in Chengdu”, “best Fish 'n' Chips in Chengdu”, “good honest fayre at a fair price, especially traditional homemade pies (Chicken & Mushroom / Shepherds Pies) with chunky chips, and a beer” and “very good attentive service”.
